Ways
in Which Residents Can Contribute Ideas and Address Concerns
St. Josephs Health Centre is committed to providing
exemplary care. In keeping with our Mission and Values as
well as the Residents Bill of Rights, our staff encourages
residents to join in our efforts to provide a caring and supportive
environment for everyone who lives here.
By sharing ideas, asking questions and expressing concerns,
residents and their families can help to ensure that our programs
truly meet the needs of those we serve and that problems are
resolved in an effective and timely manner.
There are a number of ways in which residents and their families
can participate and can make suggestions or raise issues of
concern.
Some of these are outlined below.
Residents Council
The Residents Council meets to discuss issues that relate
to the quality of life of the residents in this facility.
Participants may raise concerns or make recommendations for
changes to policies or service for themselves or others within
the Centre.
Residents
Council meets on a monthly basis. The minutes of each meeting
are posted on the bulletin boards beside the elevators and
in each living area and include the names of the various council
representatives.
If
you are interested in becoming a Residents Council representative
or you would like to present an idea or concern to the group,
please contact the Recreation Therapy Department at extension
4295.
